So today is the follow up on best practices for running mechanics through floor joists. This is generally considered a best practice, understanding that the code allows for other circumstances. One thing is for sure, this is a-lot of work to run utilities between joists and using tools in such a narrow cavity. This just makes us appreciate our plumbers, electricians, and HVAC professionals all the more!
